D60 loud pop when using footswitch

Just purchased a 60 watt Deliverance II+. When I activate/deactivate the solo channel with the footswitch, I get a loud pop coming from the speaker. It doesn’t happen every time, but enough to be worrisome. Is the amp faulty? Is it in the footswitch? Please help!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

It would be helpful to know what your front panel settings are and if you have anything connected to the FX Loop.

If you do have something in the loop, disconnect that/those for the moment and let us know if that changes anything.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi Dave,

Thanks for getting back to me. I included a photo of the front panel settings for you to see. Also, nothing was plugged into the FX loop. This amp was delivered yesterday evening and I was eager to give it a try so I plugged straight into it, guitar only and not running through the ps-100 you probably can see in the photo. It was kind of late so it was at very low volume.

Thanks for your help

Mike

Any idea’s?

Also, having more time with the amp, the pop only occurs when switching in the solo channel, not out and only if sound is ringing out. Meaning if you silence the strings before switching in the solo channel, there is no pop.

Also might be worth mentioning is I have a noisy depth pot also. Exactly like another post by Nikita_p. I only mention because maybe it is related? It doesn’t bother me in the least unless it is a deeper problem within the amp.

This is too expensive of an amp to have to live with these issues. Think about the popping issue in a live setting! I’ve had zero issues with amps that are a third of the cost of this one
