Considering PL-IR: Why not pres and depth knobs?

Hi Team Fryette,
I’m not sure there’s any other IR loaders out there that even have the reactive load switches - very cool, but why no presence and depth knobs to tweak even further a la the ps-100? Am I misunderstanding the use case or was this perhaps just to keep costs and form factor down?

Last thing I want to do is buy something then have the next version come out in 6 months and think, “Damn, shoulda waited”.

Hi Scott,

The pres and depth knobs are tone controls that effect the power amp, so this is why they appear in the Power Station and not in the Power Load.

And the switches of the Power Load IR, then? They’re supporting the reactive load?

Yes exactly, the switches are letting the amp experience different reactivity in low frequency and higher frequencies regions. Adjust them to taste.
