Reading the manual, my understanding is that the FX Loop is Post Preamp /Amp Head and Pre the PS 100 Amplifier.
Is there any possibility to connect an Instrument Level Noise Gate post the PS 100 Amplifier when silent recording?

Hi Bacon,
Can you clarify exactly what you are trying to do?
In silent recording, there is no speaker attached, and the power amp if the PS-100 is off. So I’m not sure exactly what you mean by having a line-level noise gate post-PS-100 power amp.
If I understand that literally, connecting a line-level noise gate pedal to the 100W output (SPKR OUT) of the PS-100 will destroy the pedal and possibly the PS-100 too.
Hi Dan, I have the PS-100 running in self-attenuating mode with the XLR out going straight into my RME Interface. (Silent Mode was probably poor wording on my part)
Ideally I would like to place my Noise Gate Pedal between the PS100 and my Interface but given that the connection is line level, I assume that it is not possible.
Hey Bacon,
Sorry, I totally understand now!
What about putting it in the FX loop of the power station? It should kill the signal into the power amp when the input signal goes low. Give it a go and let me know.
Regards,
Dan
Dan,
Thx, I will give it a shot.
If that doesn’t do the trick, then worst case senario would be to route the PS Line Out thru a digital noise gate at line level.
Btw, the PS-100 is absolutely super!
Hi,
Yes that’s a good idea too if you are just doing recording using the line out.
