Can I mismatch my Amp and Cab with the PS-2A?

HI, I want to know if I can mismatch my Amp impedance and Cab impedance if I make sure to NEVER run the PS-2A in bypass mode?

I have a 4ohm High-Power Twin Tweed and want to run it through a 16ohm Marshall 4x12 in the studio.

Also, since the PS-2A have 2 speaker output, can I mismatch the 2 cabinets, let’s say using a 8ohm 2x12 and a 16ohm 4x12 at same time. If so, which impedance I better select for the cabs?

Sorry to ask so much, just want to know my options for studio recording.

Hi Steph and welcome!

Sorry for the late reply!

Yes you can do this. It’s fine for your amp to run on one impedance value and the cab powered by the PS-2 do be different. You can independently matching the amp impedance and the cab impedance using the slider switches. In your case, yes set the amp to 4 ohms and the cab to 16 ohms, or 8 ohms if you use two of them!
