My brand new PS2A makes a brief crackling through my Princeton Reverb speaker it’s hooked up to for about 4-5 seconds after I turn it on and then the crackling disappears and doesn’t come back until I’ve turned the PS2A off and on again.
Is this normal? Perhaps newer tubes needing settling in or this an issue?
The crackling sound happens about 30 secs after turning the unit on which is kind of weird. But it only lasts those 4-5 sec and doesn’t come back until the next time I turn the unit back off and on.

Sorry to hear you are running into this. From time to time this does happen. I would leave the unit on to help the tubes burn in a little more. We find that this usually goes away. Running the tubes lets the getters scrub anything remaining in the vacuum after production. If this persists for more than a week get back in touch and we can sort it out.
