Okay. Starting to get acquainted with these forums more. I found in this thread that the voicing switch should be OUT for FRFR applications and potentially IN when using with a guitar cab.

2/90/2 - Intermittent “clunk” when powering on

The clunk is normal. It’s just the power transformer at initial turn on. It’s more noticeable than a typical amp head because it’s close to the steel sidewall of the chassis which reacts to the magnetic field of the transformers initial charge. The presence and depth controls are subtle. They are not meant to be tone controls. The voicing switches do act to enhance the behavior of the presence and depth controls, however.
