2502 signal routing question

Setting up a wet dry wet scenario.

Amp head does not have a line out.

Therefore I was going to get crafty and use my Two Notes CaptorX to get my amp DI signal to a Fractal VP4.

The concern is that I will be sending my amp’s preamp and power amp signal thru the Fractal VP4 and then out to the Fryette 2502 power amp.

Is the 2502 transparent enough for this use case?

Or am I going to run into undesirable results due to Friedman power amp making its way thru the Fryette.

Two Notes Engineering felt this was okay on their end.

Signal chain:
Friedman BE100 Deluxe speaker output to the Two Notes CaptorX input
CaptorX thru output to center 412 cab dry Friedman
Two Notes CaptorX right output DI to Fractal VP4
Fractal VP4 stereo to Fryette 2502
Fryette 2502 to left and right 412 cabs for Friedman / VP4 signal

Thank you for your time.

Hi Metal,

This exact method has been used for decades to get a dry signal to effects. The old EVH rig was amp to load box which had a line out. A line out box with a speaker through is a cheap and easy method that has worked great forever as well. The power amplifier won’t have an issue with that at all. Like I said, it’s the correct way to do it and Fryette has always made the power amplifiers used to do it right.

Thank You,

Terry

Thank you Terry!
I also have ordered a Suhr ISO line out passive box.
So that should get me there.
Looking forward to the the result!

Hi Metal,

Perfect, I’ve used the Suhr unit in many rigs. Great unit.

Thank You,
