What pre-dated the Fatbottom and Deliverance cabs? I see a 212A cabinet that looks much different (proportionally) to the currently offered Fryette 2x12’s and looks a lot more like my old Pittbull G100-CR combo.
How do the P50E’s behave in that cabinet compared to the successor FB series? Anything unique about the 212A cab that makes it work particularly well with specific speakers?
The 212A was built for the Pittbull 45 series. It has rear-loaded speakers unlike the Fatbottom cabs. I have one, never cared for the P50Es that it came with. They weren’t bad speakers, I just felt like something was missing in the midrange. When they gave up the ghost I replaced them with Eminence Wizards, which I vastly preferred. The Wizards are extremely efficient (and loud!), so I replaced those with the Fane F70s when they were introduced. They’ve remained in the cab ever since.
