Hey all. I have a VHT-era 212 cabinet with Celestion Vintage 30s. Handwritten model on the plate on the back lists “212B-V30C.” Single handle on top, open back, wheels. I’ve had this thing for 20 years, bought used (used to pair SO nicely with my Pittbull Hundred/CL, and later with a JCM800). Just curious if anyone knows whether the vintage 30s were stock back in the day, or if a previous owner swapped the original speakers out?
That one’s from 1996. V30s were a stock speaker at that time.
We stopped using Celestions around 1998 when we discovered they had changed the way they were made.

Thanks Dave! I assume the two 16 ohm speakers were wired in parallel (thus the “8 ohm” marking)? The previous owner had installed a second speaker jack wired in series for 32 ohm load. @DavidPhelge
Also, were wheels stock?
