ZMACS and Valvulator GPDI/IR

I have 4 amps and cabs with various impedance and I understand how the ZMACs can work with those units. What I want to do is be able to route all 4 amp heads (one at a time) to one ISO cab with the matching impedance function but at the same time I would like to be able to attenuate the signal to the iso cab. If I were to purchase the GPDI/IR I am thinking I could insert that into the loop in the rear of the ZMACs and be able to reduce volume on any amp selected. Is that true? An added benefit is I would be able to take a second output from the GPDI and route the IR signal to a separate track in my DAW.

Am I thinking about this correctly??

I don’t believe you can do that as the GPDi/IR is not an attenuator. You would need a power station. You can take the direct out of the ZMACS and send that to a DAW to record your amp minus a speaker sim.. but you can add that as a plugin on the DAW. I do it all the time. The MODS will correct me if I’m wrong.

Ed, thank you for helping me understand this signal chain. How about if I plugged my OX Box into the ZMACs attenuator loop?
