I would like to record guitar via this chain and wondering if this is safe without harming the pre-amp or the focusrite: Guitar > SMS classic pre-amp > focusrite 4i4 > mac airbook. Any advice regarding best practice or compatibility specs to check would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Not sure what Fryette product you are referring to and I’m not familiar with the SMS Preamp.
