PS-2A Bypass is quiet, Operate gives quiet crackly sound

Hello everyone, I got a PS-2A and I’m excited for it.

I have a set up like the one in the screenshot, basically:
8 ohm amp → Amp In (set at 8 ohms)
Speaker out One (set at 8 ohms) → 8 ohm cabinet

The speaker cables I’m using work with other non-Powerstation setups as far as I can tell.

When I turn the PS-2A on, while in Bypass (0) mode, the signal is quiet. If it’s bypassed, there should be no attenuation or anything like that at all, right? If my amp is cranked it should be loud, but it is not.

When I turn it to Operate (1) the signal is weak and crackly, even with the volume knob at the front cranked up. It almost sounds like a DI without an IR applied to it.

The power station is very new, any thoughts on what to do?

Thank you

It would also be useful if you included one clear picture of the inside of the chassis from about 12" above.

Once we receive this info from you, we will determine the next course of action. Thanks! Gil

Thanks for the reply

Turns out the amp that I had tested on, while working in the week prior to getting the PS, stopped working.

I tested with another amp a bit, and the PS actually seems to work fine.

Sorry about that, and thanks again for the reply
