PS-2 Fx loop doesnt work at both powered or silent mode

Hi, I couldnt make the FX loop get working while I am using the PS-2 as loadbox. I tried both the silent mode and powered (normal) mode. I also read that silent mode is only for FX send not return included when turned off. So that case is already out. I wonder if it is supposed to work in powered on mode when plugged in. I am trying to work only reverb and delay type of FX by using both send and return. And I am using a hi power amp. Thanks in advance

Hello Barbaos and welcome!

Let’s simply the setup.

Guitar. Amp. Cab . Does this work? This will ensure all your cables are working.

Now add the PS-2. Guitar. Amp (“Amp In”) PS-2 (“SPKR out”). Run this in operate. Everything is working?

Now add a cable directly from the PS-2 FX send to the FX return. Without any FX. Can you hear sound now in operate mode? Do this again with another cable. This will ensure you cables are OK.

Now insert an FX in the loop … what happens ?

Hi! I am sorry that I couldnt get back earlier with an answer because i didnt have a cab in the room and still dont have it. I am currently using it as only a loadbox and i wanted to check the fx loop while using only as loadbox. If that is not intended let me know please. I will hopefully bring my cab to upstairs to test in following week and return with the answer to your question. Thank you for the support.

The speaker cables are working. And the fx cables are working. I checked with the amps fx loop (friedman smallbox)

Hi Barbaros,

The effects loop is in between the PS-2’s reactive load and the PS-2’s power amplifier. Without running the speaker output of the PS-2 into a cabinet, the effects loop will not work. I hope this helps.

Terry

Then it is clear now. I will work around at post fx or with amp Fx loop.
Thank you for the support!
