I’m running my Twin Reverb from the amp to “amp in” and speaker out into the combo’s int. speaker. All was working well. I returned to it after two weeks away and no audio was passing to the speaker. I’ve double checked the wiring and amp settings and there is still no sound passing through. This lack of sound is an issue whether the bypass is on or off. The PS-100 turns on and you can see the tubes glowing.
Hi @dpbell and welcome to the forum,
Here are the general guidelines for this situation. Work through these steps and if we don’t catch we can do some some final debug or arrange a service.
NO SOUND
- Check input cable.
- Check volume controls.
- Make sure the amplifier volume and/or gain controls are turned up.
- Unplug the FX loop, check for sound.
- Connect a jumper cable from FX send directly to FX return; check for sound.
- Connect a jumper cable from Line Out directly to Line In; check for sound.
- PLEASE NOTE: When you have remove the feet to install a rack mount kit, DO NOT REINSTALL JUST THE FEET FIXING SCREWS. This will damage the unit internally and will require factory service. See Rack Kit instructions for details
- Check speaker cable to see if it is disconnected or shorted.
- Make sure that the impedance selector is fully engaged in its detent.
- Check the standby switch.
- Check for a blown speaker.
- Check the mains fuse, and replace if necessary. If it blows again, refer to qualified service personnel.
WON’T SWITCH TO OPERATE / NO ATTENUATION
- Check the mains fuse, and replace if necessary. If it blows again, refer to qualified service
personnel. - Make sure you are using the top TO SPKR output, this must be used first.
