Clean / Pittbull switch

So the first day I used the GPDI/IR, there was a rather distinct difference between the Clean/Deliverance/Pittbull settings. Deliverance was darker than the Pittbull and had less gain. And the clean was actually clean.

However, as of yesterday the only thing this switch seems to affect is the volume. Clean setting sounds basically identical to to the other two settings, just quieter. Anyone else experienced this?

A lot will depend on the Gain I setting. The higher you set it, the less noticeable the tonal differences on the switch settings will be.

This is because turning up the Gain diminishes headroom and therefore subtle frequency differences get masked out.
