Hey Gang, just got a brand new PS100 delivered from guitar center. Set it up with my 1966 Princeton non-reverb. Connected with a speaker cable from the speaker out on the amp to the amp in on the PS at 8ohms and a marshall 410 cab(also 8ohm impedence per the cab) to the PS with a speaker cable running from the speaker output to the speaker out on the PS100. I am getting sound and volume control on the princeton in both bypass and operate mode but response from the volume or eq’s on the PS100. Seems like the power amp isn’t engaging. Anyone know how to trouble shoot this or does this sound like a faulty unit issue? Or is there something I am doing wrong in routing or setup? There doesn’t seem to be a way to engage the power amp outside of the operate button correct?
Hello welcome to the community!
Are you getting no sound in OPERATE but BYPASS is working fine I.e. you are amp is working fine but the PS-100 is not outputting power when it should?
Thanks for the welcome, Dan!
No, it’s seeming to stay in bypass mode even when the switch is set to operate. Sound is coming through but no response on any of the ps100 controls.
Also, that was no* response from the volume or eq’s on the PS
Hi,
OK, thanks for clarifying. I’m really sorry about this, but it seems the tubes need to be replaced. We have had a bad batch and updated our QA process and also worked with the tube manufacturer to do the same.
If you fill out this form we will get new tubes sent out to you free of charge,
Apologies again.
